I had no clue that this was published (usually they email me to tell me it’s running), but I guess my piece on Yom Kippur was on the RELEVANT Magazine website a few months ago.
The things you learn.
On a sidenote, the title that they gave it makes no sense. My article is about ideologies which combat each other – throwing punches at one another – and how Yom Kippur supersedes those ideologies. But somehow it got titled “Yom Kippur Throws Some Punches.”
No it doesn’t.
For what’s it worth, the title that I recommended when I submitted the piece was “Florida’s Fruit and the Garden State,” with “Vitamin-C and Yom Kippur” being a second mention.
Well anyway, I don’t want to sound like a hater. It’s nice of them to run the piece. I like what they do over there.

On a side-note, “Avoiding Easter at Christmas” still shows up as the third most-read article on the site. It first ran last December, so that’s kind of crazy. (If it maintains that status for a few more months, maybe it’ll get some additional attention during this year’s yuletide. That’d be fun.)
